Therapeutic Style
My style is open, compassionate and engaging. I bring my whole self into my work. With me what you see is what you get.
I firmly believe that many if not most of our difficulties are multifactorial - comprised of many parts and factors - this means any effective solutions also need to multifactorial, holistic and working in concert to lift you up and help you bloom.

Background
My first experience in psychology was working as a counselor with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. That experience sparked my curiosity about human development - how we think, learn and grow over time. I earned my bachelor's degree in human development and linguistics at UC San Diego, and went on to work as a researcher at the Laboratory for Cognitive Neuroscience, Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA.

I earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Florida, Gainesville with a major in neuropsychology and a minor in gerontology. My subsequent internship and residency took me to the Bay Area and the VA Palo Alto and Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco.
In San Francisco, worked as a staff psychologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. In this role, I had the privilege of helping women navigate challenges in pregnancy and postpartum mental health. I was also a pain psychologist at the Center for Pelvic Pain, working alongside physicians, nurses and pelvic floor physical therapists, helping women with pelvic pain conditions. You can see my full Curriculum Vitae here.
In 2019, I founded Bloom Psychology. At Bloom Psychology, I provide evidence-based therapy with focus on perinatal mental health, relationships, anxiety and OCD, chronic pain management, female pelvic pain disorders, and geropsychology.
Throughout time, we have always lived in large families, villages and tribes and didn't have to do all this intense adulting on our own the way we do now. If you are feeling overwhelmed - I get it!
And I would be honored to be a part of your village.
